Description
Table X
The company built the hospital in Rome for the German nation in 1543 fulfilled the duty of gratitude by putting in the church of St. Mary of the Soul a grave Bernardo Sculteti and John Knibe : one of these and still healthy and the other dying they had donated their property to the company . And so did the tomb and the fact that the knight Tosi has to be seen in this table. The stones that reminds the reader two virtuoso action to be imitated , of charity and gratitude, as the first base , on which it is located less than a second great but certainly richer than various carvings. Since this is the first protruding pedestal of the three pillars, which rise two sides and one in the middle dividing the monument, to support the entablature with a pediment in which space starts to carved a skull. The two parties, each enclosed between two pillars, take half the figure of a parapet and half that of a niche closing almost half of the window. Both of parapets are covered head to toe as wall hangings studded with magnificent arabesques that you seem to look at one another. But if you examine the uncovers and their parts , you will gradually reveals much variety of work that you see that copy disappear as if by magic , and raised under the eye ornaments, two originals , if having nothing in common if you take away the ' harmony of proportions and style . In those niches then, that almost half open to the diaspora of the guardrails, you spot an Ermin like looking pitiful that the two have expanded their wealth to humanity suffering. The institution which avedno and perpetual expiatory prayers for their souls, even today sends his voice to praise grateful to the charity at the back of God.
