Description
Of these two monuments, one on the right remembers the name of a famous carver in marble, Andrea Bregno, author of the beautiful altar for us reproduced in Table LVI of this volume. From (scolpitavi) epigraph above we can argue what account it was this artist in the times in which he lived, and they're good faith to us his beautiful works. Maybe too the call saying he used the art of sculpting abolished, but this is amnesty for those who wrote in 1506 talking about that which was enough life better than 85 years.
In the great ship of the church of S. Maria sopra Minerva was placed this lovely little monument, that I had the luck of the draw before the restorations of the vast temple. Today it is seen battered and mutilated in the chapel of St. Raimondo, and that the last of those that open into the small ship right to be placed with a little trick at the foot of the pillar right of the said chapel. There, he lost his hoof to another small monument that and close, and that perhaps he would have welcomed even in its integrity under him as many times as they were seen by the eye of some intelligent observer. but this would have been even if he had not been preserved this ' two beautiful Corinthian capitals, which will put the maker will build it, but instead, perhaps they have been lost in the midst of the hustle and bustle of stuff, you think ugly prepending two Ionic capitals formed above those seen in the monument of Antonio Castalio we reported in Table LXI. And to fit the balustrade of the chapel stood still cut off half of one of his beautiful (candelierine).
The other monument shown in this table remembers the name of Grolamo Buzi, a Roman patrician and apostolic abbreviator, died at the young age of 25 years 1517. It is a small shrine decorated with carvings axes nice and kind.
