The second recalls to posterity the name and likeness of Bernard Nicolini , who died full of high hopes in the age of 46 years , when he was already in the possession came all the affection Immortal Pope Clement VII. The third monument is dedicated to one of the greatest artistic celebrities of the fifteenth century, B. Angelo da Fiesole, who died in the odor of sanctity 1455 for 68 years. This is perhaps to be considered for the most illustrious forerunner of the sixteenth century, came to (pinger) heads a marvelous beauty, moved by his sole inspiration and keep up without any idea of the ideal beauty of antiquity. (Narrasi) him an anecdote, which proves the depth of expression that, is the type characteristic of his genius. It was already a monk, when one day he saw him come out of the room he was forced his door, and found himself prostrate with his face to the ground and sobbed bitterly. Was no reason to have started to paint Christ on the cross, and identifying himself in his subject from nearly fall into a kind of ecstasy and divine love. Maybe crying for mercy from ' torments suffered by the Savior, and perhaps not being able to find the world to faithfully render the heavenly nobility of that face. And from the calmness of his smiling face, as it is depicted in this monument, one can easily argue that all of serenity and sweetness that he had to have his spirit.</text>

<text>Of these two monuments, one on the right remembers the name of a famous carver in marble, Andrea Bregno, author of the beautiful altar for us reproduced in Table LVI of this volume. From (scolpitavi) epigraph above we can argue what account it was this artist in the times in which he lived, and they're good faith to us his beautiful works. Maybe too the call saying he used the art of sculpting abolished, but this is amnesty for those who wrote in 1506 talking about that which was enough life better than 85 years.
In the great ship of the church of S. Maria sopra Minerva was placed this lovely little monument, that I had the luck of the draw before the restorations of the vast temple. Today it is seen battered and mutilated in the chapel of St. Raimondo, and that the last of those that open into the small ship right to be placed with a little trick at the foot of the pillar right of the said chapel. There, he lost his hoof to another small monument that and close, and that perhaps he would have welcomed even in its integrity under him as many times as they were seen by the eye of some intelligent observer. but this would have been even if he had not been preserved this ' two beautiful Corinthian capitals, which will put the maker will build it, but instead, perhaps they have been lost in the midst of the hustle and bustle of stuff, you think ugly prepending two Ionic capitals formed above those seen in the monument of Antonio Castalio we reported in Table LXI. And to fit the balustrade of the chapel stood still cut off half of one of his beautiful (candelierine).
The other monument shown in this table remembers the name of Grolamo Buzi, a Roman patrician and apostolic abbreviator, died at the young age of 25 years 1517. It is a small shrine decorated with carvings axes nice and kind.

<text>The Cardinal Lorenzo Cibo, Genoese patrician and a descendant of the noble family who willed original heraldic writers of Greece, is remembered by biographers as very learned man and angelic costumes. Taken from a special devotion to S. Lorenzo was the lawyer for as long as he lived in the land of 'celestial, and to better (addimostrare) his affection is a great saint, wanted in the church of Santa Maria del Popolo dedicate the chapel, however, is sacred to him, and he in his own expense he built and beautifully decorated, giving it a rich dowry. He left in his will that his body was buried in the chapel, but the lack of charity 'posterity after a few centuries removed that monument, and changing its destination transporting him elsewhere. And this distinguished prelate in the church that he embellished there is another memory that the following inscription on top of the chapel he made walling to its patron saint:

(LATIN)

The monument is missing urn and of epigraphs: the first we do not know where it is, the second comes Ciaconio, and then make a gift to 'our readers. So this could be a reward at that good soul!

(LATIN)

And because he was nephew of Innocent VIII, as in this' inscription is written, it must be nice to him the bronze monument erected to the memory of this Pope in the Vatican, and led, as we said in the Table. LX from (Pollaijuolo). Under this monument was placed over a century a memory (risguardante) Cibo that we do not refer for the sake of brevity.
Lorenzo Cibo was born in 1450. It was prefect of the Castle S. Angel, canon of St. Peter and archbishop of Benevento in 1485. On 14th March 1489 he was created cardinal priest of St. Susanna, regardless of S. Cecilia with the administration of the church of Vannes in Brittany and the abbey of Staffarda. Instituted a chapel in the Vatican basilica with four beneficiaries, which had (riporsi) the spear, which passed the cost of the Savior. For the sorrows of him occurred since the election of Alexander VI, who was not in good view, Lorenzo seriously sick, and not even after death of that Pontiff. So sick intervened in the conclaves of Pius III and Julius II, and he died shortly after in 1503, aged 53 and 14 as a cardinal.
The bas-relief of the monument alludes to the special devotion he had for S. Lorenzo, who is put in place to present it in heaven in the presence of the Virgin Mary. The four statues placed it 'pillars reminiscent of the principal virtues in an eminent degree you feel! All his biographers there are witness, and we, passing others, will end with the following words of Folietta in his book (LATIN)

<text>Entering the church of S. Marcello, in the third chapel on the right hand you see the altar that we give in this table. The chapel contains, provided in 1562 by Monsignor Griffins and finished in ornate in 1607 by Cav. John Matthew his kinsman, since its first erection was colored by Giovanni Battista Ricci from Novara and Francesco Salviati, who painted the main face. We do not know the author of this 'work of art, but the beauty of the decorations and the right proportion of' members are believed to be good for anything in the century.
The upper part of the table is occupied by the monument erected in S. Pietro in Vincula to the memory of the illustrious Cardinal Nicholas de Cusa , so called from his birthplace on the banks of the Moselle to Treves , where was born the year 1405. He was in charge of the monastery Wotobergense regular canon, archdeacon do Liege, dean of St. Florinus Constance and prothonotary apostolic. Intervened in 1441 at the Diet of Mainz, where the presence of Emperor Frederick III defended (gagliardemente) the Pontiff. Ascended the Chair of Peter Nicholas V, was this Pope to December 20 , 1448 raised to the honor of the purple with the title of S. Pietro in Vincula , which added a monastery and embellished the church of a new ceiling. He held several important legations in Germany, Bohemia, and in other northern provinces, and worked for all things of great benefit to Christianity. In the absence of Pius II in Rome he kept his post as vicar linked the city, and it was all an object of admiration and complacency. In addition to that he was a man full of so much teaching to write on a variety of materials a good number of works, which were printed in Basel gathered in three vol. in fol. in 1565.
Do not stay there we know by reporting the following words of Ciaconio (Vit et res. Gest. Pont. V. 5. P. 975) in praise of this man virtuous: (LATIN)
He had until (visso) a singular devotion to the chains that (avvinsero) the apostle Peter in prison, and therefore is seen portrait on the front of his monument in the act of praying (ginocchinone) to land the Prince of the Apostles who is sitting in the middle, and the other side has also an angel with bent knee, while his hands were holding up the chain. The top of the monument contains the arms of a Cardinal, who was a shrimp on a blue field.

<text>To enter the Cloister of S. Augustine, if a tired hand turns, the show is facing four monuments, the penultimate of which we will describe below (Table LXIII.) And the last is dedicated to the memory of Constance Piccolomini, whose son speaks very fondly of it 'four verses that are read in the plaque in front of the coffin. The monument was erected in the church of S. Augustine the year 1477, under the pontificate of Sixtus IV; afterwards for the changes which are suffering inside that temple, was transported to this beautiful work in the cloister, where it exists, however, but however much damaged.
The lower part of this monument is simple, as anyone can see, but not missing in ornaments conducted with very good grace. The top three pillar components, of which the middle one form as a small front building, flanked by two Corinthian columns on which they are standing straight up two Evangelists, each with a parchment explained and you turn around an arc, in which the center of the middle relief is carved the figure of Christ, that men should be reminded he lay on the ground in one piece in a sacrament of love. In these columns, we do not know when they were replaced with two spirals very ugly, which (discordine) as with the rest of the monument will be able to see every man for himself. Under the cornice, which, starting from the capitals of the columns, turns in a vain quest ' interpillar format niche, are two angels holding a cup in her hands on which is far-fetched the sacred Eucharistic symbol of our faith. More still under (opresi?) the door that was to enclose the sacred species, the sides of which are placed two angels standing in adoration. The niches carved into the two-pillar side are occupied by two figures, one representing St. Augustine and the other Menasca: perhaps hinting at a special devotion to these saints of the buried.</text>

<text>Where there stands the church of S. Pietro in Vincula willed to pious tradition have made wall the first church in Rome, the Prince of the Apostles, and dedicated to SS. Savior. However this may be that, it is certain that the fire of Nero razed the ground all those primitive buildings, and not before 442 of our era was throw the first stone of this temple that since that time he devoted himself to S. Pietro in Vincula. And that is because Eudoxia, wife of Theodosius the young emperor of the East, being gone to visit the Holy Places of Jerusalem, was a gift from Juvenal, Patriarch of the chain that held this city bound S. Peter in prison, which she sent to give to the Vicar of Christ in Rome.
We wanted to say this to manifest in our readers what God was always dear to this sacred place, and to make our way to talk about the cool that we play on this same table on the monument (de' Pollajuoli), and which will mean an awful scourge that desolated Rome in the year 680. Historians relate (Bar yr. 680 - PIE DIAC. De gest. Longob.lib.6.c.5) that in that year, after the eclipse of the sun and moon awoke in Rome is a great place if it lasted most all died. But a good servant of God in the revelation that the disease had ceased, though in this temple had crack an altar in honor of St. Sebastian, as the facts of what happened. It still said that during the plague saw some night time wandering around the city an angel with the devil, and that the husbandmen morning many deaths were in this house or that for many shots to the commandment of the angel had given to his door the demon hunter with a skewer. That's the subject of cool. Now passing to the monument, there will certainly be those who ignore the name of ' brothers Pollajuoli , both painters of much merit . Antonio first practiced the art of the goldsmith, he helped lead the Ghiberti doors of St. John, afterwards made many works in painting, and finally brought him to Rome by Pope Innocent VIII ordered the burial of this metal and that of his predecessor Pope Sixtus IV, who works in the Basilica of St. Peter, and one of the most beautiful monuments that can be admired there. In addition to this cast in bronze main door of the temple to the vast order of Eugenius IV, who was allocated to Filaret, a sculptor from Florence, to perpetuate the memory of the Council of Florence.
Death came to these two brothers one after the other in 1498, there were relatives this burial in S. Pietro in Vincula, where in the memory of the joint affection that kept them always alive, they were portrayed in a natural next to each other.
The ch. Vasari commentator, John. Forgings, reports note amended by an error in another epitaph made to Pollaiuolo, which reads another edition of Vasari. Here it is:
